Comment Guidelines

Discussion on campaign news posts is intended to be useful, respectful and relevant. Readers may choose to display their comment as “Anonymous” or use a display username.

Be respectful

  • Address ideas, policies and public statements rather than attacking people.
  • Do not post threats, hate speech, harassment or discriminatory abuse.
  • Do not publish private information about yourself or someone else.
  • Do not impersonate another person or present unsupported allegations as verified facts.
  • Avoid spam, scams, unrelated promotions and repeated copy-paste comments.

Moderation

Comments may be held for review, edited only where clearly necessary for safety or removed if they violate these guidelines. Repeated abuse or spam may lead to further moderation. A comment appearing on the site does not mean the campaign endorses the author’s views.

Posting anonymously

When commenting, choose the anonymous option or enter a username. Do not include a voter-card number, address, phone number, passwords or financial information in your comment. The site administrator should configure WordPress Discussion settings to allow anonymous posting and should use anti-spam controls before launch.
